Where To You Place Your AdSense Ads?

It you're trying to make money with Google AdSense program, there are several things that you can do in order to help to maximize your profits. Many people who try to use this particular way of making money end up quitting because they are discouraged with how little they are actually making. The fact of the matter is, if you use it in the proper way this can be an excellent way to enhance your income or to even provide you with a primary income. It all starts, however, with advertisement placement.

Far too many people place their advertisements off to the side or down low on the webpage. These are typically the ones that complain about how poorly the advertising program works. If you are putting your ads in an out-of-the-way place, they will rarely ever get clicked on. In fact, you are almost asking people to go out of their way in order to click on your ad, something that they are never going to do. It is better if you make sure that the ad is directly in their face, right at the top of the page or close to the top if you are going to get the kind of clicks that you need to make serious money.

Not only does the need to be near the top of the page, you need to make sure that it is designed well so that it will pull in clicks. One of the easiest ways to do this is to blend the ad into your page as if it were a part of it. For example, if you have a simple article page with a white background, make the border and the background of the ad white as well. This will make it blend very well into the page and if you put the links directly above the article, they will pull in additional clicks.

Of course, it also depends on what kind of ad sizes you are actually using. One of the most effective of the as sizes is the large rectangle. If you use one of these at the top of your page that blends in well, you will definitely pull a lot of clicks. What if you don't want to be quite so out there with your advertising? You can use other AdSense ads as well if you use them properly. A good example of this are the link unit ads. You can also blend these into the page and make them look as if they were navigational links leading to various parts of your website. You would be surprised with the number of clicks you can get by using this method as well.

As far as the AdSense program is concerned, it all has to do with the number of clicks that you get. Make sure that you put these ads on all of your pages, especially in the right positions and the profits will follow.

Great Viral Friends Marketing Dominator

Lot of you who have been with me for quite some time may realize that I’ve mentioned viral marketing strategies a few times on this blog and also in my ezine.

Well, I’m mentioning it again and I’ll do that some more in the future.

You see… winning search engine games is not an ever-lasting victory. You can tweak your website to the optimum and get your main page website ranked #1 on Google and Yahoo! but in a matter of days, you’d be surprised to find your website is no longer there.

Someone with a better search engine optimized website knocked you down or the search engine teams themselves are playing fool on you. In a nutshell, your results are not 100% dependent on your efforts.

Now, you can continue to play the search engine games or you can ADD some more strategies in getting more people to visit your website for free - that’s what you want to get when you tried to get listed on Google and Yahoo! in the first place, right?

Well, here is my STRONG recommendation for you.

Get a viral marketing script to do more traffic generation for you!

One of them is using a Tell-A-Friend Script and there are a lot of them out there.

The reason is that there is more than a tell-a-friend script that I’m going to tell you today.

Lots of you know that Scott Boulch launched Viral Friend Dominator today and I got a copy of this script as well.

Millionaire Adsense Affiliate Speaks Out

One millionaire Adsense affiliate who was the first to reveal online that they were on course to raking in over one million dollars from their Adsense affiliate program revealed some fascinating facts behind becoming a millionaire Adsense affiliate.

This millionaire Adsense affiliate has since sold his online blogs, which he was using to make his millions, to AOL. But not before his amazing revelation in a post at his personal blog that naturally attracted plenty of comments and questions from other Adsense affiliates.

One of the surprising revelations that came out of the millionaire Adsense affiliate was the fact that traffic is much more important than the position of Adsense ads on a site. It was revealed that the millionaire Adsense affiliate had already sold some of the best positions on their blog to other advertisers by the time that they joined the Adsense affiliate program. What this meant was that the Adsense ads were placed in the least favorable and least prominent positions on their blogs. Still they were able to enjoy high Adsense earnings that quickly got them into the millionaire Adsense affiliate club.

The lesson here is that volume of traffic is much more important than ad positions when it comes to Adsense earnings and the creation of millionaire Adsense affiliates.

Google AdSense Tips

Google AdSense has been one of the most misunderstood income tools on the web in recent memory. Every time you turn around there is someone peddling their "book" on how to make money with Google AdSense.

If you haven't learned this lesson already, here it is: Nothing is as easy as people claim it is.

What is Google AdSense? Essentially you are "partnering" with Google to display their advertising on your website. Google has a highly intelligent media bot that scans your page and can understand the basis of the page in less than a second and then displays ads relevant to your content.

To see AdSense in "action" simply look to your right or left. Those are AdSense ads.

Everytime a visitor clicks on one of the Google Ads, we share in the revenue Google earned for that click. Google will not disclose the percentage that is shared, but we do know the percentage "floats" depending upon your earnings. The more you earn, the higher your cut. This seems to be Google's way to reward their best partners.

You can also have Google's Search Box on your site, however, we have found through testing that this method of monetizing your site is very difficult as opposed to hosting ads directly.

One of the first things that you want to do after getting approval for your AdSense account is to add the following line to your robots.txt file:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google Disallow:

This will ensure that Google's Media Bot will be able to crawl your pages correctly and display the correct ads. Most people complain that when they first start out with Google AdSense the only ads that display are the Public Service ads which do not give a rev share if they are clicked on. Simply adding the line in the robots.txt corrects the issue for nearly all users.

Most people are also not thrilled at hosting ads for their competition. They feel that by doing so it will take sales / customers away from them and instead give them to their competitors. The logic is sound, but the reality is, it doesn't happen. Here are test results from the hundreds of domains that we manage.

On average, the conversion ratio is 1.2%, meaning that for every 100 visitors, one person buys. It is pretty standard across the web. Now, after adding Google AdSense to these domains, the click through rate to the Google ads was 6.3%, meanings for every 100 visitors, 6 clicked on a competitor ad and left the site. Most site owners would see those figures and panic, however, the conversion ratio held steady at 1.2%.

What does this mean?

That visitors who are not going to buy are just not going to buy, and those that will buy do. Instead of monetizing just one visitor out of one hundred, you are monetizing seven (one sale and six AdSense clicks).

How Do You Get Started? Getting started is easy, just Google AdSense and you will be directed right to Google's AdSense application.

Make sure you review Google's terms for this program. Never click your own ads and don't ask others to do it either. That is fraud and Google will shut your account down if there is evidence you are frauding the system.

Google is a great partner to have and they have out performed Yahoo! Publisher in our testing.

Is Adsense Dead?

Is Adsense Dead? I received an email recently that indicated that some 30,000 plus individuals have downloaded the Adsense Dead report. I read it myself. Interesting read.

Adsense has never been alive for some. For others Adsense may be a viable source of revenue.

One of the critical components of Adsense, which is common sense, is that as traffic goes up, Adsense revenue goes up.

If your traffic goes down, Adsense revenue goes down.

If your site is banned on Google, Adsense is dead for you.

So where do you stand?

My guess is that if you have Adsense revenue, you believe in Adsense. If not, you are investigating click flipping.

Or you are building a real web business. Selling real products.

One of my subscribers asked me recently ‘What should I do after Adsense bans me?’ I have not replied yet. What do I say?

Do what I do. Create solid content. Give a lot of it away for free. Charge a reasonable price for the rest.

Adsense dead or Adsense alive, content always wins.

Just curious. Where do you stand? Is Adsense dead or is Adsense alive? Drop me a line.

How to Increase Your Adsense Revenue?

How to Increase Your Adsense Revenue If you're a webmaster, you've probably heard about Google's Adsense. Perhaps you're even earning from it already. This article will show you a method to increase your Adsense revenue dramatically.

Google's Adsense allows webmasters to place links from Google's Adwords advertisers on their webpages by inserting a special code. When a visitor clicked on a link, the webmaster gets a cut of the profit Google made from the advertiser. The unique feature about Adsense is that the links it generates on your webpage are relevant to your page content. Thus, your keywords and topics become very important determinant for the type of links that will appear on your webpage.

There are only two factors that determine how much a webmaster can make from Adsense. The first factor is the number of visitors who click on the links. The more people who clicked on the links, the more you make. Naturally, this means that the more targetted traffic to the website, the more you'll make. This is where most webmasters focus their efforts on.

The second factor is the value of the links they clicked on. Here's where you can make a great difference to your earnings from Adsense and is our focus in this article.

Let's take a look at how this works:
Suppose you have 1000 visitors to your website and you get 2% conversion, that is 20 people clicked on your Adsense links. Let's assume that your Adsense links pay you only 50 cents per click. So you earn $10 dollars.

Now let's see how much this same traffic will make for you if your Adsense links pay you $5 per click. For the same number of clicks, you make $100 dollars. That's a ten-fold increased in revenue!

Well, that makes sense, you said, but how am going to determine what type of links appear on my webpages?

Good questions!

Here's where you'll need to do a little research and here's a tool to help you do just that.

Go over to http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/ and you'll get a tool that shows you how much each keyword is worth. While this tool is for Overture's keywords, we can safely assume that this reflects the keyword values for Googles Adwords as well. Once you've found the keywords with high monetary values, you can optimize your webpages for them. This will increase your chances of having these high value keyword links appearing on your webpages.

Some people have actually made extensive researches on Google's top paying keywords and found that one or two keywords are worth almost $100! However, generally most keywords are valued at between 50 cents and $5 dollars. Some keywords like "internet marketing" may fetch up to $7 dollars and "mortgage" pays up to $10 dollars.

These values may change from time to time but they generally hover around these levels. Naturally, this information is priceless and you'll have to pay to get it. I feel it is worth every cent you paid for it. You can check it out at http://theselfimprovementsite.com/links/top-paying-keywords.html.

And there you have it! A single factor that can radically increase your Adsense revenue!
